I've never heard the song before, but coupled with the virtual-reality-visual-explosions in the video, I'm guessing that the meaning is something like; we've been blinded by electric light.
So this is why we usually don't remember our dreams, that is to say, visually. By the time we get to bed, our optical sensory apparatus is overloaded, and we're essentially blind...?
